Stepping Away from Gold Eagle Casino
A good day out in the Battlefords has an end, and that end can be chosen long before the evening. If gambling stops feeling like part of the day, Saskatchewan has a free helpline, 1-800-306-6789, and two ways to step away.

One number, any hour
Trained counsellors answer the Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline 24 hours a day, at 1-800-306-6789. Nobody pays for the call, and what is said stays confidential. It serves people with gambling problems and their families, so a parent or partner worried about someone can call too. A call at noon and a call at 4 am, when the Friday and Saturday floor closes, reach the same service.
SIGA Voluntary Self-Exclusion
To arrange SIGA Voluntary Self-Exclusion, a person can visit any SIGA casino or book a time at SIGA's Central Office in Saskatoon. The term runs from 6 months to 5 years, and throughout it the person is barred from all 9 Saskatchewan casinos, a reach wider than the 7 under SIGA's operation.
Gold Eagle Casino is a SIGA casino, so a request can begin at 11902 Railway Avenue without a trip to Saskatoon.
Game Break, through SaskGaming
SaskGaming runs its own self-exclusion program, Game Break. As with the SIGA program, it reaches every casino in the province for 6 months to 5 years. PlayNow.com, the only lawful online gambling site in Saskatchewan, falls under it too. After an exclusion takes effect, it cannot be made shorter.
A private online casino site is not blocked by either program. SIGA or Game Break self-exclusion covers Saskatchewan casinos and PlayNow.com, and goes no further.
Choosing when the evening ends
As general advice, every casino game has a house edge, a built-in advantage in its rules. Spread over many evenings, losses for players taken together outweigh their wins. Many visitors pick a budget ceiling and a departure hour before the night gets going.
The floor closes at 2 am from Sunday to Wednesday, 3 am on Thursday and 4 am on Friday and Saturday. Those are closing times, not targets. Leaving earlier is always allowed. A close after midnight falls in the early hours of the next day.
